Support for existing technological networks

SDH systems are used as a high-capacity transmission medium via optical fibers. Today, they are being replaced by new technologies; however, SDH networks will remain in operation for several more years. PDH is an older technology used in digital networks for lower speeds. This technology currently persists mainly in technological networks.
